Sea Level

One day seems to blend into the next while surrounded by such pleasant environs.

Thankfully, Ricky finally got a good night's rest and his shoulder is improved so today's prospects are looking good.

Every time I walk past this sign in the lobby I think of Matt wanting an Acai bowl. 😀

Breakfast was pineapple,  eggs, and pancakes.

Another check in on the penguins.

We love to sit out on the breezeway after breakfast and enjoy the ocean breeze.

Today was about enjoying the water. I walked down to the beach while Ricky headed for the pool.

The waves were crashing today. I don't ever remember seeing them this high. I think Maui is getting some wave action off of Hurricane Darby.

I took in all the sights and sounds at sea level.

Coral and rocks washed up on the beach by the waves.

I found Ricky at his spot in the pool.

We stayed at the pool until a rain shower drove us indoors.

Lunch was an egg salad sandwich and Maui style potato chips. Yum!

At 5 pm we headed down to the Regency Club for an appetizer. We spied this rainbow out the window on our way to the elevator.

Poke, cucumbers, hummus, and fried shrimp were the choices of appetizers. We have really been pleased with the quality and variety of the food for breakfast and evening appetizers.

Ricky spotted this baby pineapple growing in all the flowers in the lobby.

                      Dinner at Japengo!

This decoration welcomes visitors to the restaurant.

Just as the waiter seated us a bird pooped on our table. I guess I'll consider it good luck!

I had vegetable fried rice with tofu and it was very good. And a lot of it!

Ricky couldn't remember the name of the sushi roll he had here before and really liked. He guessed it was this one, but no. He manned up and ate it. The pickled ginger made his eyes water and he couldn't get the roe out of his teeth. He couldn't wait to get to the room and his toothbrush.
