Turtle Day

Friday we spent the day at our hotel. Vendors set up tables in the lobby to sell their wares, and I took advantage of the shopping opportunity. Ricky headed to the pool early. I joined him and spent the day on the beach and in or near the pool. Ricky got a bad sunburn. 😣 We opted for supper at Sonz Steakhouse here on property. Highlight of the day for me was turtle spotting on the beach here at our resort. 🤗❤

I met this friendly artist, a potter, in the lobby selling his work. We struck up a conversation about his art and Joy's work. I rarely buy other ceramics as I love Joy's stuff. But I was so impressed by him I ordered one of his mugs. He is fro Illinois but has been living on Maui for 20 years.

 The sand is soft and deep and can be hard to walk in.

            Haleakala rising in the distance.

 Must be big sand crabs. I didn't get a look at one.
