Prequel

Today was all about trip preparation. This morning we watered the garden, flowerbeds, and filled the bird feeders. We are hoping for rain while we are gone. I have worked pretty hard on the flowerbeds and have had help from grandkids this year. I will be really sad if everything dries up and blows away while we are gone.

We left the house about noon and first stop was to drop Hondo and Honey B off at the Pet Hotel. Hondo was pretty excited. Honey B not so much. We had licks and pets then out the door.

Next stop was lunch at True Food Kitchen at the Domain. My ancient grains with tofu was great! Ricky said his grass fed burger was good, including the chewy mushrooms the texture of rubber bands. Seriously, I thought the food was good. I always love visiting The Domain.

Now we are at The Hilton at ABIA cooling our heels at the hotel bar talking about the trip. Our friend, Dalton, is the bartender. He has been here the last two years to see us off.

The trip starts at 3:45 am in the morning. 🙄 All trips with Ricky start at 3:45 am. Sigh...
