Viva Turtle Bay

Hurray! It's time for our yearly sojourn to the islands!

After missing out on our trip last year due to the tragic fire on Maui, we are hungry to see the blue Pacific again. 

This year we are going to Turtle Bay on Oahu's famous North Shore, then doing a "post extension" at The Aria in Las Vegas. (What happens in Vegas lands on this blog!)

We have a one night "pre" in Austin. First stop was the sad goodbye to Ringo and Honey B at the babysitters at The Pet's Hotel in Cedar Park. The second stop was happier- the Cheesecake Factory at The Arboretum.

Overnight at The Hyatt at ABIA. We prefer The Hilton, but we had points with Hyatt, so free won out this trip. We beat the rush hour traffic and got here right at "cookie time!" IYKYK 😉

Ricky's refined palate wouldn't tolerate the available Maker's Mark or Knob Creek, so he settled on Tito's and Sprite. 

After an hour and a half of bad whiskey and no ambience, the genius light bulb went off. We drove 0.2 mile to the Hilton and Ricky found his Crown! 

Supper was in room dining and the Nothing Bundt Cakes we picked up in Cedar Park. It's been a good day Tater.

We set 2 alarms and one wake up call from the front desk. Good night, Irene! 4 am it is!
