I woke up with the brake engaged. Not sure why, other than not sleeping well. Ricky had been up for a while drinking coffee before I managed to keep my eyes open.
We had our breakfast and discussed our choices. I struck out to get a closer look at The Lazy River in the waterpark and to scout the infinity pool. Ricky stayed in the room to do surgery on his in-growing toenail. Thankfully he was successful in alleviating his pain.
The black paint on this lion's face made me feel a certain kind of way. (Creeped out.)
While looking at the lazy river I investigated the kids section. This is The Shadow Lounge for teens and tweens.

I walked back over to Key West to find the infinity pool. Neptune's was serving breakfast.
They have left this part of the beach natural
The infinity pool was small and sadly, no shade. Bayside and Sky restaurants are adjacent.

We spent a few hours at the Italian Pool. I got out and dozed in a lounger. I just couldn't shake off the elephant weighing me down.
We had salad and fish tacos at Barefoot By the Sea. My hat is wilted from yesterday's rain.
After lunch we went back to the room for some rest and to get ready for Kimono's tonight.
We got all dressed up and walked across the street to Kimono's. We kept calling it Kimo's a la Freudian slip. (Longing for Lahaina I suppose.)

Our cook was low key and very nice. He cooked my vegetarian tofu, rice, noodles, and vegetables first.
My food was great. We tasted the dessert sampler of cheesecakes, then it was early bedtime.
I'm hoping for good rest and a reset.
