A Great Day on Maui

Tuesday brought perfect weather, beautiful surroundings, and fun times. Matt and Shana got up early and left the hotel via Uber for a super fun excursion. They went snorkeling and whale watching on the far side of Lanai. They got some great pictures.

Jon and Jennifer and Ricky and I found beakfast at Swan Court. Then Jon and Jennifer did some snorkeling on the beach. We watched the penguin feeding and kept an eye out for whales. We saw lots of spray and Ricky saw one nice full breach!
Breakfast always includes fresh pineapple!  Love the Maui Gold Pineapple.  It is very mild.

Jennifer had some picture worthy french toast. It had coconut shavings on top.

Eggs with bacon and ham

Lovely orchids in the lobby

We watched the morning penguin feeding.

Monster koi fish

Bougainvillea provides beautiful color. This picture was taken on the 17th floor.

Egret enjoying the water sprinkler in our walk to the trolley stop.

We decided to venture out to Whaler's Village for lunch and shopping. Here we are waiting for the Ka'anapali trolley.

Lunch at Le'lanis.  The Maui boys enjoyed swordfish tacos.

Jennifer chose an oyster out of a bucket and scored a beautiful cultured pearl.

We got back to the hotel in time for Ricky and Jon to have some pool time while Jennifer and I were pampered with massages at the spa. At the end of the spa experience while relaxing, we saw a whale breach off shore. Of course, I didn't have my camera on hand. Seeing it in that moment was really special.

Maternity massage

We headed downstairs for the long line to get into the Drums of the Pacific Luau.

We all got "leied" with shell leis.

Hula girls in "grass skirts." They are really made of Ti Leaf.

Samoan fire dance.

An audience volunteer helped with the big finale. 😂

All in all, a very fun day on Maui!
